Warhammer 40,000: Darktide teased the release of a new upcoming class: Hive Scum. The class is scheduled to release on Dec. 2, priced at $11.99. Hive Scum introduces dual-wielding expertise, which can be used with both close combat weapons, such as the twin shivs, and ranged weapons, such as the stub pistols and auto pistols.
Hive Scum wields chemical mechanics to create illicit substances, allowing for customizable bonuses and unique damage over time effects. The talent tree supports various playstyles, while the class itself features various customizable options through full-body tattoos, various hair styles, face paints, and more. The new class is releasing as a DLC, available for PC, Xbox, and PlayStation.
Developed and published by Fatshark, Warhammer 40,000: Darktide is the successor to the Warhammer: Vermintide series. The game was first released for Windows PC on November 30, 2022, followed by a launch on Xbox Series X/S on October 4, 2023, and later on PlayStation 5 on December 3, 2024.
