Key points
- G2 dominated NRG in the grand final of Red Bull Home Ground 2025 with a 3-0 win.
- G2 lost in the early rounds of the tournament and clawed their way to the grand final.
- Valorant’s next huge tournament is the Valorant Game Changers Championship 2025.
On Nov. 16, 2025, G2 completely stomped VALORANT Champions 2025 winners NRG in the grand final of the Red Bull Home Ground 2025 tournament, taking the title with a 3-0 statement, as well as the $50,000 grand prize.
While G2 seemed completely untouchable in the grand final, the team actually fell to the lower bracket pretty early in the tournament after losing to Zeta Division in a Best-of-One series in the upper bracket quarter finals.
This led to G2 clawing their way from the lower bracket of the tournament, fighting teams like Cloud9, Sentinels and the VALORANT Champions 2025 runner-ups, Fnatic. Then, they had a chance to redeem themselves by clashing with Zeta Division once more in the lower bracket final. This time, they showed their dominance, not even letting the Japanese team score more than 5 rounds in the two maps that they played: Sunset and Split.
G2, as mentioned above, continued their dominance in the grand final, where they beat NRG 3-0. The closest NRG got to beating G2 was in the first map, Corrode, where they were able to score 10 rounds, but it was downhill after that. The second map, Split, was a one-sided affair for G2 as NRG only scored 4 rounds.
VALORANT’s next big tournament is the VALORANT Game Changers Championship 2025, which starts on Nov. 20, 2025. It will be held in Seoul, South Korea.
