The preorder page for Dragon Quest VII Reimagined is now officially up across platforms. Priced at $59.99 for Steam, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox, the title fully remakes the classic PlayStation and Nintendo 3DS RPG: Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past. The pricing for the Switch 2 version is not yet available.
Dragon Quest VII Reimagined received a preorder launch trailer during Sony’s State of Play Japan, which premiered on Nov. 11, 2025.
Purchasing the game early grants players special rewards. Here are the exclusive bonuses, according to the official pre-order page:
- Trodain Togs (appearance-changing costume for the hero)
- Seed of Proficiency x3
The items will be available to customers who purchase the game by 23:59 on March 4, 2026. Additional items alongside 48-hour early access are granted to those who purchase the Deluxe Edition, which is priced at $74.99 across platforms.
Dragon Quest VII Reimagined offers enhanced visuals, a streamlined story for increased accessibility for modern players, and improved gameplay mechanics. The game added vocational perks, with each vocation having its own unique ability, from all-out attacks to those that support allies. Battle speed was adjusted, with an auto-battle feature also available.
