“FromSoftware is currently developing Elden Ring: Nightreign DLC (planned for release in FY2025 [ends on March 31, 2026]),” says Kadokawa’s report.
Developed by FromSoftware and published by Bandai Namco, released on May 30, 2025, Elden Ring: Nightreign is playable on PlayStation 4, Windows PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
Directed by Junya Ishizaki, who worked as a designer on Dark Souls, Bloodborne, Dark Souls III, and Elden Ring, and set in a land called Limveld, Elden Ring: Nightreign features a shrinking gameplay area that resets each time players defeat the minor boss at the end of an in-game day. While the title encourages cooperation, it is missing both voice and text chat.
Notably, Elden Ring: Nightreign surpassed 5 million copies sold globally in less than two months since its launch.
As of the time of writing, the game has a “Very Positive” rating on Steam, with 103,876 reviews and a peak of 313,593 concurrent players, according to SteamDB.
