On Nov. 7, 2025, Ken Paxton, Texas’s attorney general, sued Roblox “for putting pixel pedophiles and profits over the safety of Texas children.” In the announcement, he mentioned that Roblox was “flagrantly ignoring state and federal online safety laws.”
Paxton added that Roblox was deceiving parents about the dangers of using the platform. “Roblox markets itself as a safe digital space of creativity, but in reality it has become a breeding ground for predators.”
The attorney general said that platforms like Roblox shouldn’t be allowed to continue “as digital playgrounds for predators where the well-being of our kids is sacrificed on the altar of corporate greed.”
Paxton is the recent addition to the states and attorney generals suing Roblox for being a breeding ground for sexual predators. In October, it was sued by Florida’s attorney general, and in the same month, Iraq announced that it was banning Roblox in its country due to the same concerns.
Roblox recently released an update regarding its efforts to make the platform a safer place. The company mentioned that it is expanding its Parent Council and its cooperation with the Attorney General Alliance “to establish the Partnership for Youth Online Safety.”
