Rush: Apex Edition glides on to PlayStation VR2 today

On Nov. 6, 2025, The Binary Mill announced that its VR wingsuit racing game Rush: Apex Edition is now available on PlayStation VR2. The developers said that the game has been “remastered from the ground up.”
This edition’s improvements include the following:
- Remastered visuals with new lighting, weather and atmospheric effects
- 12-player online multiplayer races (up from eight in the original)
- Spatial audio and proximity VOIP chat for unmatched immersion
- Adaptive triggers and headset haptics support
- Over 90 unique tracks across stunning, dynamic environments
- Runs at 90fps on PlayStation5 and 120fps on PS5 Pro
The studio’s community manager also said that the developers wanted to “revisit one of our most-loved VR experiences and give it the full next-gen treatment it deserves.” He added that Rush: Apex Edition has been fine-tuned for the PlayStation VR2, making it the definitive version of Rush.
This version of the game isn’t available on any other platforms; however, Rush is. The game is available on Steam and will require a virtual reality headset to play.
According to SteamDB, the game had an all-time player peak of 23 players from three years ago and has a four-player peak daily.
At the time of writing, Rush has a “Very Positive” review score on Steam.
