The servers of the game will shut down on the date specified above at 1:59 PM UTC, after which the title will no longer be playable, warns Electronic Arts. Because the progress of The Sims Mobile is stored on the company’s servers, saved data will no longer be available.

Unlike its predecessor, The Sims FreePlay, The Sims Mobile offers an experience closer to the PC series of games, focusing on storytelling through Sims’ actions, chosen by the player as their Sims progress in their careers or build relationships, unlocking new furniture and clothing items.

Developed by Maxis and based on The Sims 4, The Sims Mobile was released on March 6, 2018, for both Android and iOS. On Jan. 29, 2024, Electronic Arts announced that the game would no longer receive new events or content updates, but instead receive re-runs of past updates and events, and the online servers will remain active.
