On Oct. 17, 2025, Marvel Rivals unveiled its very first PvE mode called Marvel Zombies. This is in collaboration with the animated show of the same name. The game mode will be released on Oct. 23, 2025.
This game mode is similar to the Call of Duty Zombies mode in that the players will have to defeat hordes of zombies and then fight bosses. The main difference is that the players will have five Marvel characters to choose from: Blade, Thor, Magik, The Punisher and Jeff. According to a recently released video, the mode can only accommodate up to four players.
All the characters have updated move sets to be able to deal with the hordes. For example, Jeff’s ability, where he goes underground and only shows his fin, has been changed to an AoE attack that damages everyone in front of him. Punisher has also been tweaked, as his turret was shown shooting on its own. Finally, the mode will have players fight against Hela and Namor.
Besides what was mentioned in the video accompanying the announcement, there’s little information available. The developers are expected to release more information about the event closer to its release.
