Key points
- Monster Hunter Wilds has released a hotfix aimed to address some problems with the Final Fantasy XIV collaboration.
- This includes fixing the Agitator skill fading away when taking aggro.
- The collaboration between Monster Hunter Wilds and Final Fantasy XIV launched on Sept. 29, 2025.
On Sept. 30, 2025, Monster Hunter Wilds announced that it would be implementing a hotfix aimed at addressing some of the known issues introduced with the recent addition of Omega Planetes from the Final Fantasy XIV collaboration.
Here are some of the issues that will be fixed once the update has been deployed:
- Some skill effects, such as the Agitator skill, wear off when drawing Omega Planetes’s enmity.
- When attacking while mounted on Omega Planetes under certain conditions, Omega Planetes or the Seikret does not move to a new area, making it impossible to slay the target in some instances.
- Lagiacrus unintentionally appears at Wounded Hollow even when it has not been slain during game progression.
- Graphical issues with Omega Planetes’s Rocket Punch where the rocket does not disappear on some occasions.
- When using the Filter Icons option, Cactuar and some endemic life that have not appeared in the locale are unintentionally shown in the list on some occasions.
- When trying to apply a coating while charging with a bow, the coating is not applied on some occasions.
The big one here is Agitator fading away after taking aggro from Omega Planetes since it’s a common skill that players like slotting into their armors, as most of the time the monsters will be enraged, and this skill increases the player’s attack and affinity if they’re fighting an enraged monster.
Overall, while the patch notes seem small, the fixes are pretty significant and definitely improve the player’s experience playing the game.
Monster Hunter Wilds recently collaborated with Final Fantasy XIV. The event added staple elements such as Chocobos, Cactuars and even the Pictomancer class, which can deal a lot of damage against the event monster, Omega Planetes.
