Slime Rancher 2 Exits Early Access, Improves End-Game Content

Slime Rancher 2, a farming life simulator, exited its early access period, marking its version 1.0 release on Sept. 23, 2025. The new version brings improvements to the game’s end-game content and new features and slimes to discover.
A press release delves deeper into the changes made to the game’s version 1.0, revealing that quantum drones can now help the players find resources and that Ranchers will have to explore previously unseen areas of the Labyrinth as part of the game’s main storyline.
The developers added that these areas will also feature a lot more content that will occupy the player post-credits roll. Some new end-game player rewards will also be handed out. New gadgets such as the Master Gordo Snare and the Triple Hydro Turret can be obtained, among others.
Additionally, physical editions of Slime Rancher 2 will also be available for purchase as part of the franchise’s 10th anniversary. The physical edition will feature artwork from Yusuke Naora, art director for games such as Final Fantasy VII, Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy XV.
Slime Rancher 2 entered early access in September 2022. It is available on PC, PlayStation and Xbox Series X|S.
