The Steam Deck LCD, a handheld gaming PC that allows players to play games from their Steam library on the go, has received a 20% discount a week ahead of Steam’s Autumn Sale, which begins on Sept. 29, 2025. The sale starts today and will run until Oct. 6, 2025.
The 256-GB version of the Steam Deck LCD’s discounted price of $319.20 from $399.99 positions the device as a competitive option, considering that it’s one of the cheapest handheld gaming PCs compared to the Lenovo Legion Go 2, which starts at $1,099 for the base model.
Both the Steam Deck LCD and OLED models can play Steam Deck-verified games. However, in terms of specifications, the Steam Deck OLED has the edge over the LCD model due to its bigger battery, higher maximum refresh rate and faster WiFi 6E.
The OLED version is also more expensive, which makes the latter much more enticing to buy, especially with the Steam Autumn Sale coming up. Buyers could opt for the cheaper version and spend a little extra on games.
