Metal Eden, a first person platforming based shooter, was teased during Sony’s State of Play. The game releases on May 6, 2025, and is a PS5 exclusive.

Developed by Reikon Games and published by Deepsilver, Metal Eden appears to be inspired by Doom Eternal – at least in regards to gameplay. In essence, the player must platform efficiently while simultaneously shooting down the enemy.

The trailer introduces the main protagonist, a mecha girl with mechanical wings. The design language is reminiscent of Kai’Sa from League of Legends, while the setting takes place in a futuristic, cyberpunk-inspired metropolis.

Reikon Games, the studio responsible for Metal Eden’s development, is an independent video game studio that specializes in “artistic action adventures set in haunting science-fiction realities, embracing the cybernetic dimension of life.”

Their most notable game title is RUINER, which is also a shooter but featured an isometric point of view.

Prior to Sony’s State of Play presentation, the game was kept a secret, with very minimal leaks and news coverage regarding the upcoming Playstation 5 exclusive title.
