Destiny: Rising Gauntlet Onslaught begins on Sept. 19 at 9 am PDT, putting squads of six players against one another in a PvE gauntlet with three stages. To ensure fair play, NetEase decided to disable various pay-to-win factors that would have skewed the results for the first week of the event. Here are the limitations, according to the official Destiny: Rising website:
- Weapon mods are disabled
- Exotic weapons are limited to Catalyst Node 1
- Weapon Gear Level is capped at Level 80
- Character Talents and Light-Linked Companions are disabled
- Only artifact perks remain active (tiers, gilding, and attributes are disabled)
The in-game event has a week-one event; during the first three days following launch, all the teams will compete for the fastest clear times. The top 100 and 30 teams are granted exclusive rewards. Achieving top 100 rewards the Dynamic Emblem, while the top 30 teams are given the Dynamic Emblem and the Exclusive Exotic Tier Ghost Skin.
To participate in the event, players must have completed Chapter 5-1 of the main story and reached Team Level 50. The recommended power level for the Destiny: Rising Gauntlet Onslaught event is 55,100 or above.
The upcoming Destiny: Rising Gauntlet Onslaught on Sept. 19 is the very first Gauntlet Onslaught competitive event for the mobile title. The game receives weekly patch updates, catered towards balancing gameplay and fixing in-game bugs. During early September, Destiny: Rising reportedly rose to the top of both the iOS App Store and Google Play Store, according to the official social media account for the mobile game.
