The Sanabi: A Haunted Day DLC was officially announced as a spin-off for the 2023’s action-platformer Sanabi.

Since the original game is tightly structured and linear, with a story that already has a closed ending, the developer decided to go with a new story in the expansion, featuring a new protagonist, Major Song, completely distinct from the main hero of the base game.

The story of the new hero will focus on the period when she worked for Uigeumbu No. 12, during which she plunged into the massive scrapyard following a lead on a treason plot.

While the main character of the original game showcased aerial maneuvers with the grappling hook mechanics, Major Song brings her own combat style, combining recoverable mid-air jumps and the raw power of a shotgun.

Sanabi: A Haunted Day will bring a two-hour scenario, eight stages and two bosses, according to the developer, while the release date was not clarified in the announcement.

SANABI Official Release Trailer

The original dystopian action-platformer Sanabi allows players to control a legendary retired veteran called simply The General, who can use his signature prosthetic arm to jump over cliffs and skyscrapers, zip through bullets and traps and fight enemies.

The game’s story unfolds as The General gets called upon for one last operation: to ascend a mega-city ruled by a corrupt conglomerate, hunt down a mysterious entity known as “Sanabi” and uncover corporate secrets hidden deep within the city.

As of the time of writing, Sanabi, developed by Wonder Potion and published by Neowiz, has an “Overwhelmingly Positive” rating on Steam with 34,847 reviews.
