A remake of 2004’s Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, titled Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, was released worldwide on Aug 28, 2025.
The title, whose official name uses the uppercase Greek alphabet symbol Δ for ‘Delta,’ was launched for PlayStation 5, Windows PC, and Xbox Series X|S.
Set in 1964, the remake of the fifth main entry in the franchise and the first chronological game overall follows a FOX operative codenamed Naked Snake, who must rescue a prominent Soviet rocket scientist and sabotage the Soviet nuclear superweapon Shagohod, while clearing the United States of Soviet suspicion amid Cold War tensions and confronting his former mentor, The Boss, who has defected to their side.
Developed and published by Konami, Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater brings enhanced visuals and audio, refined survival elements, revamped controls and mechanics, and a new multiplayer mode, Fox Hunt. Additionally, the cumbersome menu-based camouflage system has been replaced with a real-time selection feature, allowing players to change outfits on the fly without interrupting gameplay.
