Phasmophobia is Reworking Three Maps as Part of its 2025 Roadmap

Phasmophobia is looking to rework Bleasdale Farmhouse, Grafton Farmhouse, and 6 Tanglewood Drive as part of its 2025 Roadmap. In addition to this, a new small map is also planned for release.

In a blog post, the developers mentioned that the reason why the new map will be a small one is because they want the release to be more frequent. A smaller map is quicker to work on than a large map which consists of a lot of rooms.

The roadmap also mentions two major updates: Chronicles and Player Character Overhaul. Chronicle reworks the way evidence is collected. It introduces a new media tab in the Journal as well as a new instrument called the Sound Recorder.

The Player Character Overhaul is more about making the existing models a lot better. The developers said that they would be improving animations and adjusting the overall experience. This is separate from the full-player customization update that’s slated for 2026.

Seasonal events will also come back with the Blood Moon event and Winter’s Jest largely remaining the same. The Easter event will be receiving changes which will be laid down as the event draws closer.

The developer also touched upon Horror 2.0 which is the release of Phasmophobia out of early access. Together with new maps and more reworks, Horror 2.0 is expected to be released in 2026.

Phasmophobia was initially released in September 2020 on Steam. It currently has an Overwhelmingly Positive rating on Steam and has entered IGN’s Best Horror Games on PC. The game has sold 22 million copies on PC and consoles combined.
