The open-world Wuxia game, Where Winds Meet, is officially launching on PC and PlayStation 5 on Nov. 14, 2025. The game was already released in China back in 2024 for the PC and on Jan. 9, 2025, for mobile.
Everstone Studios, the developers of the game, describe it as an “epic open-world action-adventure RPG rooted in the rich legacy of Wuxia.” The game is set in 10th-century China, and the players are put in the shoes of an unknown swordswoman or swordsman.
What happens after that is up to the player, as the developers described that they can choose whether to become a hero or an agent of chaos. The game also features an alliance system, as the game’s description on Steam mentions being able to befriend villagers and forge alliances.
Where Winds Meet will also have an online mode where players can invite up to four friends to their world. It’s unclear what kind of multiplayer activities are available in this mode, however. Players can also set up or join guilds of their own and participate in a “wide range of group activities,” which includes guild wars, multiplayer dungeons and epic raids.
Pre-orders for the PlayStation 5 version are now available, offering players several launch bonuses. Those who secure a copy early will receive an exclusive appearance set, the Astral Trail name card background, 10,000 in-game coins and two Lingering Melody items.
