On Aug. 20, 2021, a new LEGO game revolving around Batman was announced, called LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight. The game is being developed by TT Games, a veteran studio with games such as LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga and LEGO Harry Potter: Collection under its belt.
LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is a celebration of everything Batman, according to the strategic director and head of the development team at TT Games, Jonathan Smith. He said in a press release that it will start where it all began, as a young Bruce Wayne.
From there, players will encounter The League of Shadows and friendly faces such as Robin, Nightwing and Batgirl. Of course, villains such as Joker and Bane are also present in the game.
In addition to that, Gotham City is also going to be open-world, where players will be able to roam around using the Batmobile or maybe some other mode of transportation.
The game currently has no release date but is expected to be released sometime in 2026. It will be available on PlayStation 5, PC, Xbox Series X|S and the Nintendo Switch 2.
