BlackMill Games, a studio popular for its games that revolve around the different fronts of World War I, has announced a new game called Gallipoli. This title focuses on the Middle Eastern Front of the war, featuring desert warfare and beach landings.

The studio also highlighted that the team has expanded after the development of Isonzo, the previous World War I game they made. This resulted in better graphics, slick gunplay and the faithful recreation of weaponry, which the studio said are “usually quite obsolete, weird or both.” Improvements regarding progression, loadouts, cosmetics and the health system are also promised by the developers.

Gallipoli will feature 50-player battles, which separate players into two sides: attacking and defending. Those attacking will have to work with their squads in order to complete the objectives they are given. The defending side will do everything to halt the attacker’s momentum.

This is BlackMill Games’ fourth game in its World War I franchise. Its first game was Verdun, released in 2015, and the latest one is Isonzo, which was released in 2022.

Gallipoli still has no concrete release date. The developers mentioned that they will be sharing more details on different platforms “in the months leading up to release.” The game’s Steam page listed its release date as 2026. As of the time of writing, the game is only confirmed for PC.
