Deadlock teased six new heroes to release, with Mina having made her debut first. The other five will be released subsequently every other day. Heroes are scheduled to release Monday Wednesday, and Friday for this week and the next. Thus far, only Mina’s kit has been revealed. She is a glass cannon that deals quick bursts of Spirit damage at range.
She can also transform into bats, allowing her to escape when the situation becomes dire. Triggering her passive, Love Bites, allows her vampire powers to grow stronger for the rest of the match. Mina’s ultimate, Nox Nostra, unleashes a swarm of bats that hunt down and silence nearby enemies.

The hero release order will be determined in a new pre-game lobby called The Hideout, which replaces the existing Dashboard UI. The Hideout serves as the player’s personal play area while they wait around for a match.
The major update on Aug. 18 also added visual map changes, which included lighting changes. More map improvements are planned in the future. The character select screen was also visually overhauled; a more in-depth overview of the update can be found on the official blog post.
Deadlock is still in early development build, with NDAs for the playtest having been lifted in Aug. 2024. Since the lift, Deadlock has been in an invite-only game, with no full release for the game readily available.
