Key points

  1. Ryazo has been banned from playing Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising.
  2. He is a top player who has placed in the top eight at both Evo and the ARC World Tour Finals.
  3. He believes the developers have banned him due to them mistaking him for a cheater.

Ryazo, a top Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising player, was banned from the game after reaching 10,000 crystals with Anila, a character that most of the players deem low-tier. He posted a screenshot of himself getting banned on Aug. 15, 2025.

Two days later, on Aug. 17, he published a follow-up X post saying that he’s still banned from accessing the game. He said that he believes it’s due to the developers of the game thinking he cheated with the amount of crystals he had with Anila. He added that it might also be due to him using a different name in-game and that the developers might not know it was him because of it.

The developers of the game, Cygames, are still quiet regarding the ban; however, Ryazo pointed out that the streams are available on his Twitch channel where players and other people can see if he really cheated or not.

His ban has sent shockwaves throughout the community, with even one of the biggest online tournaments of Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising dedicating a tournament for him called the Ryazo Memorial Tournament.

Ryazo, as mentioned earlier, is a top player in the game. He placed third at the ARC World Tour 2024 Finals and finished in the top eight at Evo 2025. All the tournaments he has entered since February of this year have ended in him either winning or placing in the top eight, which is a testament to his skill as a player.
