Stellar Blade royalty growth surged over 800% following the game’s PC release, driving Shift Up to a record quarter, according to the company’s Q2 2025 Earnings Report and Factsheet published on Aug. 11, 2025.
Published by Sony Interactive Entertainment, Stellar Blade was initially launched on April 26, 2024, as an exclusive for PlayStation 5, followed by a PC port released on June 11, 2025.
The company’s revenue surged by 72.4% compared to the same period in 2024, reaching approximately $81 million. For the first time, Stellar Blade generated more than half of the studio’s quarterly revenue, as in Q2 2025, royalties from the game’s sales reached approximately $47.3 million, marking a year-over-year growth of 154.1% and a quarterly growth of 837.3%.

The game follows the story of Eve, who was deployed from the Colony to a post-apocalyptic Earth with her squad to fight the Naytibas, monstrous creatures that forced humanity to abandon their planet. In addition to the base game, Stellar Blade has received two DLCs: one in collaboration with Nier: Automata and the other with Goddess of Victory: Nikke.
As of the time of writing, the title has a “Very Positive” rating on Steam with 37,259 reviews and a peak of 192,078 concurrent players, according to SteamDB.
