Capcom has announced plans to extend the Open Beta Test 2 (OBT2) for Monster Hunter Wilds on PlayStation 5, following a recent PlayStation Network (PSN) outage that disrupted gameplay. The outage, which began on February 7, 2025, and lasted approximately 24 hours, prevented many players from accessing the beta during its scheduled period.
In a statement on X (formerly Twitter), Capcom addressed the issue: “PS5 hunters, thanks for your patience and understanding during this weekend’s PSN service issues. To account for reduced OBT2 play time due to the outage, we are considering running OBT2 for an additional 24 hours at a future date.”
As of now, specific dates and times for the extended beta have not been confirmed. Players are encouraged to monitor official Monster Hunter communication channels for forthcoming updates.
