Overwatch 2 Update Buffed a Single Hero and Nothing Else

The latest two Overwatch 2 patch updates were hotfixes, with the latest buffing Sigma and the one prior adding a total of three bug fixes. Overwatch 2 Retail patch notes were implemented on Aug. 7, while the hotfix changes were implemented on August 5; all gameplay changes were specifically for Stadium Mode.
Here are the exact changes, according to the official Overwatch 2 update blog:
Sigma
- Increased Barrier Health Scalar to 150% (Up from 100%). Barriers now get a bigger health boost from the money you earn.
Hyperloop – Power
- Increased Cooldown Reduction to 0.8s (Up from 0.5s).
Singularity – Power
- Increased Splash Damage to 75% (Up from 25%).
Bug Fixes
General
- Fixed an issue where text chat was displaying unintended colors.
Stadium
Orisa
- Fixed an issue where Orisa’s Energy Javelin cooldown was not properly reduced when using cooldown-related mods.
Kiriko
- Fixed an issue where Kiriko’s “Clone Conjuration” power failed to grant her clone increased health based on ability powers.
The next Overwatch 2 hero scheduled to release on August 26 at 11 am PT. The weekend trial for the hero takes place from August 14 to 18, scheduled as a part of the mid-season patch for Season 17.
Overwatch 2 Stadium has become the title’s most played mode with 7.8 million hours of play logged, as according to Blizzard’s official developer blog. The mode surpassed both Quick Play and Competitive — which were Overwatch’s previous top played modes. Blizzard saw 900 billion Stadium Cash earned in a single week.
The game is currently celebrating its Nerf collaboration, with an exclusive free Tracer weapon available after mission completions.
