Sony’s PlayStation Network (PSN) has been restored after a global outage that began on Friday evening, February 7, 2025, and lasted approximately 24 hours. The disruption affected PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 users worldwide, impacting services such as online gaming, account management, and access to the PlayStation Store.
As of Saturday afternoon, services have gradually come back online, with many users reporting restored access to online gaming and other PSN features. According to PSN Status page, all services are back online and fully operational.
Sony has not yet offered an explanation for the outage or confirmed that all issues have been fully resolved.
The prolonged downtime led to widespread frustration among users, especially during a weekend when gaming activity is typically high. The outage disrupted major events, including the Monster Hunter Wilds beta test and the Destiny 2 Sundered Doctrine World’s First race. PlayStation players were locked out of earning a limited-time emblem, prompting Bungie to schedule an additional Contest Mode weekend.
