On Aug. 3, 2025, Tekken 8 developers, Bandai Namco, revealed the final character who will join the game in its second season pass: Miary Zo. She’s a fighter from Madagascar who uses Moraingy, a type of martial arts originating from her home country.
Her fighting style primarily revolves around unarmed striking. However, her profile also includes “and other African Martial Arts,” which might imply that, instead of sticking to just Moraingy, she has a more freestyle approach to combat.
Additionally, her profile also revealed that she has an interest in observing animals, and that she has a pet ring-tailed lemur parent and child called Vanilla and Cacao. Miary Zo shares her love of animals with Street Fighter 6’s recently released character, Elena.
According to the Steam page of Tekken 8’s Season 2 Character Pass DLC, both Miary Zo and Armor King will be released towards the end of the year, in October to December 2025. Players also have the option to purchase DLC characters one by one, if they so wish.
Tekken 8 was released on Jan. 26, 2024. It’s available on PlayStation 5, PC, and Xbox Series X|S. The game is currently on its second season, with the latest character to be released being Fahkumram, who first debuted in Tekken 7.
