Elden Ring: Nightreign ranked as the top-selling Triple-A title in the United States for June 2025, followed by Death Stranding 2: On the Beach and subsequently Mario Kart World. This was the Nightreign’s second month in a row leading sales. The rankings were revealed by industry analyst Mat Piscatella on Bluesky, accompanied by various graphs and figures.
Other titles that made it on the list were Stellar Blade, ranking fifth, GTA V, Elden Ring, and even Star Wars: Battlefront II, which actually saw its peak concurrent player count more than seven years after its initial release.

United States consumers spent more on video game content, hardware, and accessories in the month of June when compared to last year’s June spending. Spending has increased by 22%, with year-to-date spending 2% behind 2024’s pace.
Though the month of June marked an increase in spending, the year-to-date spending is still smaller than the prior year’s spending. This jump in the month of June can be largely attributed to the release of the Nintendo Swithc 2, which became the fastest selling gaming hardware of all time.
On top of that, according to Circana, total spending in the US on gaming hardware in June 2025 showed year-over-year growth of 249%, reaching $978 million. This set a new record for hardware spending in a June month in the US, surpassing the $608 million recorded in June 2008.
