Team Nuts became the first to complete The Desert Perpetual, the initial major raid of Destiny 2’s The Edge of Fate expansion, on July 20, 2025.
Bungie officially acknowledged the world-first completion of the raid in Contest Mode via a congratulatory post on X (formerly Twitter).
It took over 15 hours for the team, consisting of members with the nicknames Milito, Dabs, Enskeria, Silken, Mitch, and Ham, to complete the raid.
Destiny 2: The Edge of Fate DLC was released on July 15, 2025, and The Desert Perpetual raid launched on July 19, 2025. The expansion debuted with the lowest number of concurrent online players on Steam compared to previous DLCs, and its first raid didn’t improve the situation.
The Edge of Fate became the tenth DLC following Curse of Osiris, Warmind, Forsaken, Shadowkeep, Beyond Light, The Witch Queen, Lightfall and The Final Shape.
Set in a mythic sci-fi universe, Destiny 2 features a multiplayer environment with elements of role-playing games and, like its predecessor, is divided into PvE and PvP environments. The game is available on Windows PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
