Latest Killing Floor 3 Playtest Spotted With 5-Year NDA Despite Imminent Release

|
- The latest Killing Floor 3 test has a five-year NDA attached to it.
- The game is set to launch on July 24, which makes the five-year NDA peculiar.
- Killing Floor 3 will be available on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox Series X|S.
The latest Killing Floor 3 playtest was spotted to have a five-year non-disclosure agreement (NDA) attached to it despite the game coming out in the next week and a half. This information was spotted by an eagle-eyed Reddit user, who shared it on the game’s subreddit.
Reddit user Several-Dependent-48 shared their finding on r/killingfloor, asking the question, “A 5 year NDA for 2 hours?” This post was accompanied by a screenshot of the first half of the NDA. Additionally, the very bottom of the screenshot also says no recording and no screenshots of the game should be taken.
NDAs for unreleased games are normal in the industry. Most AAA developers who put their game out for alpha tests, like what the Killing Floor 3 developers are doing, usually have an NDA to make sure no footage of the game or screenshots leak.
The aforementioned NDAs usually expire when the game is released, which makes this particular situation peculiar. Killing Floor 3 is expected to be released on July 24, 2025, with this test being one of the last before the game fully comes out. With the NDA having a five-year expiration, it means that those who signed it won’t be able to talk about the game until 2030. This is most definitely a mistake from the developers, however.
Killing Floor 3 is a survival horror game coming out this year. It is being developed by Tripwire Interactive. The game will be available on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The game was originally set to be released on March 25 but was delayed to its current release date, July 24.
