Co-Op Climbing Game Peak Reaches 5M Copies Sold Less Than One Month After Release

On July 12, 2025, the popular co-op climbing game Peak announced that it had sold a total of 5 million copies in under a month. It was released on June 17, 2025, and currently has a “Very Positive” review score on Steam.
A week ago, the game set a record for its all-time peak concurrent players on Steam of 114,492 players. 97,991 players come back to play the game daily. The game is doing really well in terms of numbers, and the reviews are reflecting the players’ enjoyment.
Recently, the game was updated to its most recent version as of writing, which is 1.7. The patch introduced localization in 12 languages, including German, Spanish and Ukrainian. The developers also mentioned that the game is now available on GeForce Now.
Aside from these, there were a few balance changes added to the game, such as the Rope Shooters and Anti-Rope Shooters shooting more rope and the Bugle of Friendship no longer showing up when playing solo.
Peak was originally developed as part of a game jam held in February 2025, according to an article by Noisy Pixel. The game sold 1 million copies in less than a week, which bewildered its own developers. The game is currently available on PC.
