Lords of the Fallen surpassed a milestone of 5.5 million players, according to an announcement on the game’s official X (formerly Twitter) account.
Released for PlayStation 5, Windows and Xbox Series X|S on Oct. 12, 2023, the game is a successor to the 2014 title of the same name.
Developed by Hexworks and published by CI Games, Lords of the Fallen is an ARPG played from a third-person perspective. It’s set in a medieval dark fantasy universe where two worlds, the realm of the living called Axiom and the realm of the dead called Umbral, are layered on top of each other.
The game allows players to control a character of one of nine classes on an epic quest to overthrow Adyr, the demon god.
As of the time of writing, Lords of the Fallen has a “Mixed” rating on Steam with 29,341 reviews and an all-time peak of 43,075 concurrent players, according to SteamDB.
