Patapon 1+2 Replay was launched for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch on July 11, 2025, a day after the PC release via Steam.
The remaster of 2007’s Patapon and 2008’s Patapon 2 was announced on a livestreamed Nintendo Direct on March 27, 2025, along with 15 other titles.
The game is a rhythm action adventure title where players use four Mystical Drums to command eyeball-styled creatures known as Patapons. The players command the army of Patapons and lead them on their adventure to Earthend.
All Patapons have unique characteristics and classes, such as the Hatapon, who stands in the center of the squadron waving its flag and leading its allies; a protecting Tatepon, equipped with a large shield; and an arrow-shooting Yumipon. In total, Patapon 1+2 Replay contains 400 weapons and pieces of equipment to enhance and upgrade the army of Patapons.
While the original titles were developed by Pyramid and Japan Studio and published by Sony Computer Entertainment, the remaster was developed by Japanese game developer Sas and published by Bandai Namco.
