NetEase Confirms Marvel Rivals Swimsuit Costumes Release Date and Event

Marvel Rivals’ swimsuit costumes release date is on July 18, accompanied by a Summer Special Event. The news was revealed via X, where NetEase teased the upcoming season 3.0 roadmap. Before the roadmap publication, the release date for the swimsuit costumes was not yet known. Pricing for the costumes is not yet available, but various previews of the costumes were leaked prior. 

The preview teased artwork for Thor, Loki, Punisher, Luna Snow, and Psylocke. No in-game models were shown. During the initial reveal, the legitimacy of the leaks was brought into question, since the leak did not provide a source. But the leaks were confirmed to be legitimate after the season 3.0 roadmap was revealed, as the artwork showcased in the preview is the same as the one leaked prior. 

The official Marvel Swimsuit Special is slated to release in comic stores on July 9, 2025. The Marvel Rivals Swimsuit special marks a return to the Swimsuit specials, which had been discontinued for the past 30 years.

The swimsuit special used to be a yearly comic that showcased Marvel heroes and villains in tropical beachwear. As for the upcoming release, it is called “Marvel Swimsuit Special: Friends, Foes, & Rivals #1. It is written by  Tim Seeley and Tony Fleecs, and drawn by Nick Bradshaw, Nic Kelin, Marguerite Sauvage, Luciano Vecchio, and more.
