The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered to Receive Second Update Mostly Focused on Bug Fixes

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered is about to receive Update 1.2, focused on bug fixes in quests, gameplay, and general performance, according to the developer’s post on the game’s Steam page on July 9, 2025.
Update 1.2 first became available on Steam Beta, with plans to roll it out to all other platforms at an unspecified later date.
Besides bug fixes the game got additional difficulty settings which allow players to further tune combat damage of both protoganist and his enemies. Players can now select from Novice, Apprentice, Adept, Journeyman, Expert, and Master options in the game’s menu.
In total, the remaster of TES IV: Oblivion received 88 bug fixes related to the game’s UI, audio, crashes, quests, performance, gameplay, and system issues.
Co-developed by Virtuos and Bethesda Game Studios, TES IV: Oblivion Remastered was published by Bethesda Softworks on April 22, 2025, for Windows PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, with the expansion packs Knights of the Nine and Shivering Isles included.
According to the latest estimates dated June 2025, TES IV: Oblivion Remastered has sold 2 million copies on Steam alone and gathered more than 4 million players across all platforms.
