Atari axes its Web3 ecosystem plan as a separate business line, according to the company’s fiscal year 2025 earnings report provided by GlobeNewswire on July 9, 2025.

Aimed at developing licensing agreements in the Web3 ecosystem, a separate line of business called Atari X was created in May 2022.

But due to nominal profit in FY25, which appeared to be even lower than FY24’s €0.1 million, the company decided to reclassify it as the Licensing division, citing as the second reason a continued strategic focus on core video game operations.

According to the report, in FY25 the company’s revenue saw a 63% year-over-year increase and reached €33.6 million (approximately $36.96 million), marking the second consecutive year of revenue expansion and the highest level of annual revenue in over a decade.
