- Once completed, it rewards players with materials needed to create new tribal-inspired chest armor.
- Monster Hunter Wilds still has problems with its optimization on PC.
On July 9, Capcom published a post on X confirming the addition of a new event quest in Monster Hunter Wilds named “An Inferno Laid Bare.” This quest pits players against Nu Udra, one of the monsters first introduced in the game.
Nu Udra’s addition to the game marked the first time a cephalopod-like monster was present in a Monster Hunter game. It’s the first one with independent-acting tentacles. This is also the first time players are going to encounter something of the sort, making it one of the harder monsters to adjust to.
The newly added event quest rewards players with materials needed to craft the Pinion Necklace α chest armor and Felyne Bell Collar α Palico body armor. The Pinion chest armor takes inspiration from tribal costumes, featuring topless armor for males and a chest wrap for females.

Additionally, Capcom also announced a new challenge quest where players have to slay a Mizutsune in Fleeting Bubbles. Three exclusive pendants will be awarded to players who achieve a B or A rank time. Capcom clarified that awards will be distributed at a later date.
Monster Hunter Wilds is not having a good time right now regarding its performance on PC. Recently, the company had to cancel a lecture talking about the game’s optimization at CEDEC 2025. While Capcom did not confirm the reason for the cancellation, there is evidence that it is due to the harassment the company has been receiving.
