- Four new players were invited to EWC after The Mixup 2025’s Tekken 8 bracket concluded.
- JDCR, CBM, Bilal and Tekken Master are the four newly invited players.
- The next big Tekken 8 tournament is EVO USA 2025.
The Mixup 2025’s Tekken 8 bracket concluded on July 6, and it invited four more players to qualify for the game’s Esports World Cup tournament. The Tekken 8 bracket was attended by more than 200 players, with Jonathan “Tibetano” Medina taking the tournament over Jeon “Jeondding” Sang-hyun in the grand final.
The four newly invited players are:
- Kim “JDCR” Hyun-jin
- Kim “CBM” Jae-hyun
- Bilal “Bilal” Ilyas
- Sayed “Tekken Master” Hashim Ahmed
Out of the four, Tekken Master is actually more well-known for his results in Mortal Kombat games. He has mostly taken a step back from Tekken games and does not compete much in tournaments.
The other three — JDCR, CBM and Bilal — are all beasts in their own right. JDCR won Tekken Tag Tournament 2’s EVO bracket in 2015 and is considered one of the most successful modern Tekken players currently. CBM, meanwhile, has shown strong results in both Tekken 7 and Tekken 8, often being just outside of the top 8 in major tournaments.
Bilal is a player hailing from Pakistan, one of Tekken’s strongest regions currently. Just like CBM, he’s mostly just outside of the top 8 in major tournaments and has shown to be a top contender in the game.
Tekken 8’s next big tournament is EVO USA 2025. It will start on Aug. 1 and run until Aug. 3. The tournament is considered one of the hardest tournaments in all of fighting games and usually attracts players from all over the world, resulting in very entertaining matches.
