Monster Hunter Wilds Players Complain of Worse Performance After Title Update 2

|
- Monster Hunter Wilds players are complaining of worse performance after the recent title update.
- Players have figured out that this might be due to the game’s anti-cheat.
- The update was released on June 30, 2025.
Several Japanese Monster Hunter Wilds players have found themselves having worse performance on PC after the recent Title Update 2 was released. The players have been reporting increased CPU load, as well as game crashes.
A report by Automaton Media brought the matter to light, as a Japanese player mentioned that their PC has started making noises after the update. According to them, the issue is most likely caused by the game’s anti-cheat now checking every frame for potential violations. This increases the load on the CPU.
These reports aren’t isolated, as a Reddit thread has also appeared, talking about the same thing. According to the post, the player is above the game’s minimum requirements, and they suspect that the crash is due to overheating. They also added that the game performed well before the update, and it only crashed after they installed the recent update, similar to the Japanese players.
Capcom has not released a statement regarding the problem yet, but it has previously announced its stance on cheating and has said that it will ban those who have been determined to be cheating.
Monster Hunter Wilds’ Title Update 2 was released on June 30, 2025. It added Lagiacrus, a monster that was heavily requested since Mizutsune’s addition to the game. The developers have also confirmed that the next update to the game will be released in late September 2025.
