Mecha Break reached 110,267 concurrent players on its release day, July 2, 2025, according to data from SteamDB. The number doesn’t include players who accessed the game via Xbox.
Developed by Kingsoft’s subsidiary, Amazing Seasun Games, the game was released for Windows PC and Xbox Series X|S, featuring cross-platform connectivity support. It is a free-to-play, online, team-based mecha shooter that features 3v3 and 6v6 modes, as well as PvPvE extraction mode Mashmak, with multiple customization options for mechs, bases and pilots.
Mecha Break is set in an alternate world where, in 2082, a virtual Great Catastrophe led to the discovery of a carbon-silicon mineral called Corite, which became the solution to Earth’s energy crisis. However, the use of this new material created heavily polluted areas called Fading Zones across the globe. As only mechs are capable of operating within these territories, players assume the role of mech pilots who aim to uncover the truth behind the pollution and save human civilization.
In Season 0, titled Rain of Fire, players will see Christian’s Challenge event, which will continue from July 2 to July 27, 2025, granting weekly rewards to players who accumulate more Mission Tokens than Christian every Sunday by 1:00 pm (PDT).
The other event, Rally Order, will last from July 2 to Aug. 3, 2025, and will offer players the chance to select one of six themes — Rainfall, Sinslayer, Tempest, Skyred, Monarch or Overlord — to form a tactical unit. After the unit is formed, players will be able to invite other pilots to join it. The theme and tactical unit cannot be changed after the choice is made.
Besides that, by completing the Ace Conquest training, which features daily sign-ins, Striker design adjustments, Base exploration, the Test Pilot challenge and active operations, players can earn a full set of S.H.A.D.O.W. skins and Mission Token rewards. Also, players can get rewards for account linking.
As for Limited Access Beta and Global Storm Open Beta rewards, their distribution will begin on July 8, 2025.
