The company also shared an updated Google Sheets file of employees affected by the layoffs and who are currently open to work. As of the time of writing, the list features 14 names.

An American video game developer and publisher Cyan Worlds was founded by brothers Rand and Robyn Miller in 1987. Notably, the original 1993 Myst became the best-selling PC game of its release year and remained so for several years.

Most of the studio’s games are set in the world of a humanoid race called the D’ni, who have the ability to write linking books that teleport readers to other worlds, called Ages and limited only by the imagination of the author. Cyan’s titles mostly focus on exploration and storytelling, presented through a simple interface.

In total, since its founding, Cyan Worlds has created over 20 titles, including remakes, special editions, and ports to different platforms.
