Riot Games Reportedly to Add Skin Previews within LoL Client

|
- A leak shows skin previews with the League of Legends client.
- The preview allows players to see what the skin looks like within the game, instead of having to rely on splash arts alone.
- The preview will reportedly show a video of the skin, much akin to the YouTube channel SkinSpotlights.
Riot Games is reportedly adding skin previews within the League of Legends client, a quality-of-life feature that, at the time of writing, is supplemented by outside sources. The feature previews the in-game model and animations, allowing consumers to analyze the skin in-game rather than having to search for a skin spotlight video on social media.
League of Legends‘ in-game client currently only displays an arguably misleading splash art for skins, with chromas offering a stagnant character model. The feature is reportedly being tested and has no set release date. The video of the skin preview within the client store was shared by League of Legends Leaks & News, a reputable leaks and news outlet for the MOBA.
The in-game preview is expected to display the animations for abilities and emotes for the cosmetic; this particular showcase is what the YouTube channel SkinSpotlights is best known for. The channel has 2.7 million subscribers, and has helped millions of consumers make better informed League of Legends skin purchases.
