Warhammer 40k: Rogue Trader Receives Lex Imperialis Expansion and 1.4 Update

Owl Cat Games released its Imperialis Expansion for Warhammer 40k: Rogue Traders. Costing $17.99, the second story expansion is marketed to bring an additional 15 hours of narrative-driven gameplay, while also debuting the new companion: Solomorne Anthar. In preparation for the expansion, Owl Cat Games also implemented a 1.4 patch update, which adds shields and associate talents alongside various quality of life changes and bug fixes.
Here are the Warhammer 40k: Rogue Trader 1.4 patch highlights, according to the official Steam posting:
Highlights:
- Shields and associated talents have been added to the game for all players;
- Rykad Minoris was updated with the presence of the Adeptus Arbites faction for all players;
- All shotguns now cost baseline 1 AP to shoot;
- Area effect from Arc Rifles now works correctly;
- Fixed a lot of desync issues in co-op;
- It is now possible to turn off action camera in void combat;
- Improvements to many cutscenes;
- Improved pathing on many locations;
- Various bugfixes for items, abilities and narrative;
- Many visual fixes to locations, characters, objects and animations;

Warhammer 40k: Rogue Trader initially released on Dec. 7, 2023 on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC. The first story expansion, Void Shadows, released in September of 2024, and was also marketed to bring around 15 hours of additional narrative driven gameplay. Warhammer 40k: Rogue Trader supports cross platform multiplayer, and has sold over 1 million copies as of Jan. 21, 2025.
