Developer CD Projekt Red delayed the Cyberpunk 2077 update 2.3 to ensure quality control; the announcement was made on June 23, 2025. No updated release date was revealed as of writing, but the developers did write that an update will be provided as soon as they can.
“We initially hoped to put Update 2.3 in your hands on June 26. However, we’ll need some more time to make sure we’re happy with it,” they wrote on social media. The Cyberpunk 2077 update 2.3 was slated to bring changes on the same scope as update 2.2, an update that significantly increased the game’s customization options. No exact changes were teased or marketed for the 2.3 update.
The release of patch 2.3 was announced during a livestream broadcast on June 5. The stream provided details regarding the release of the game on the Nintendo Switch 2.
Cyberpunk 2077 initially released on Dec. 10, 2020, for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The title later received a port with upgraded visuals on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on Feb. 15, 2022. The title saw a peak concurrent playcount of 1,054,388, according to SteamDB.
