- Bandai Namco shadowdrops enhanced bosses in patch 1.01.3, called Everdark Sovereigns.
- Only three are being added for now, and the rest of them will be added in a future patch.
- Everdark Sovereigns will rotate on a weekly basis.
Elden Ring Nightreign has shadowdropped a new type of boss called Everdark Sovereigns, which are enhanced versions of the bosses that are already in the game. These enhanced boss versions were added to the game in patch 1.01.3.
While the patch notes were all about small adjustments in the game and bug fixes, the development team soon published another press release talking about the Everdark Sovereigns.
According to them, these enhanced bosses were the first part of their announcement a few weeks ago, which mentioned that they are going to add even harder bosses to the game. As of now, only three new bosses have been added:
- Gaping Jaw
- Sentient Pest
- Darkdrift Knight
The developers also added that there will be three other Everdark Sovereigns to be added in the future:
- Tricephalos
- Augur, Equilibrious Beast
- Fissure in the Fog
These bosses have a chance to appear during a player’s run, as long as they are in online mode. Players will have a set amount of time before they disappear, so they need to be killed before they do. After killing them for the first time, players will be rewarded with Sovereign Sigils that they may use to buy special Relics and other items.
Everdark Sovereigns rotate on a weekly basis, and the first one in the line is Gaping Jaw. Players will be able to encounter it from June 19 until June 26.
