Key points
  1. Street Fighter 6 developers updated the Season 3 patch notes after admitting they forgot to add a few things to three characters.
  2. The characters affected are Dee Jay, Chun-Li and Kimberly.
  3. Street Fighter 6 is currently in its third season.

On June 19, 2025, Capcom admitted that it had forgotten to write some of the changes to three characters: Chun-Li, Kimberly and Dee Jay. To clarify, these changes were already in the game after Season 3 was dropped; the developers just forgot to put them in the patch notes.

Here are the added notes for each of the characters:

Dee Jay:

  • Assisted Combo 3: Fixed an issue where after reaching the Overdrive Jus Cool point of the combo, additional scaling would be applied when transitioning to a branching attack from Overdrive Jus Cool that is not part of this Assisted Combo.

Chun-Li:

  • Crouching Light Punch: Expanded attack hitbox upward. Adjusted for interactions with super armor moves such as Gladius.
  • Serenity Stream: Previously, if a branching attack from Serenity Stream was Perfect Parried, Chun-Li would be unable to move until Serenity Stream’s recovery was complete. Now, Chun-Li will be able to act from the end of the branching attack’s recovery. The Perfect Parry scaling and punish counter state will also reset from the end of the branching attack’s recovery.

Kimberly:

  • Assisted Combo 3: Fixed an issue where after reaching the Sprint point of the combo, additional scaling would be applied when transitioning to a branching attack from Sprint that is not part of this Assisted Combo.

While these updates were pretty minor, the development team being transparent about all the changes they make to characters and the game is always an appreciated gesture.

Street Fighter 6 Season 3 started on June 5, 2025, the same day the game’s Switch 2 version launched. It introduced a new character, Elena, and some changes to the general system mechanics.
