Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O Producer Shares Information Regarding Game’s Next Update and Tournaments

Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O.’s next update will allow players to watch replays of other players and hide player names during gameplay. Additionally, a few bugs are also planned to be fixed in the version 1.05 update, making the game a lot more stable.
All of this information came from Seiji Aoki’s producer letter, which was published on X. It also included information about upcoming tournaments for the game and how to better prepare for them.
The Virtua Fighter Open Championship’s first online tournament is going to be held on June 21, with its registration closing on June 20. This tournament can net the player a spot in the Global Finals, which is the conclusion of the game’s circuit.
Aoki is also promoting the offline qualifier tournament happening on June 22 in Japan. He specifically mentioned that even if players are not there to compete, they are still free to come, as general admission is free. Those who will participate in the tournament will receive an original Virtua Fighter Tournament T-shirt.
The franchise has had some sort of revival recently when Virtua Fighter 6 was announced at The Game Awards 2024. Since then, Sega has started heavily promoting Virtua Fighter’s tournaments and updated the game to fit the modern standard of fighting games.
Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. is available on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox 360. A PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch version will be available at a later date.
