Studio Camelia announced its closure on June 17, 2025 — the studio had raised over $300,000 through Kickstarter, backed by 5,089 donors. The fundraiser was targeted towards funding the studio’s planned project, ALZARA Radian Echoes. The title is indefinitely paused, with no details readily available regarding the future of the game.

“We are unable to share the details of these procedures, but they pertain to the liquidation of a company,” Studio Camelia shared in its official blog

The studio reportedly had developed half of the game, but needed to fund the remaining half through an industry partner. Studio Camelia was unable to secure a contract despite having a playable demo, half the funding secured, a Kickstarter campaign, and a senior team.

“We can only imagine your disappointment upon reading this. Know that we share your sorrow. We would have loved for this project to see the light of day,” the studio said.

The studio’s liquidation was declared on April 28. Studio Camelia was founded in 2021 out of love for JPRGs. ALZARA Radian Echoes was marketed to be turn turn-based JRPG set in the world of ALZARA. Players would control Kayla and her allies to battle against the forces of Vedores, wielding magic to overcome puzzles during their adventure.
