Key points
  1. Atif took the CEO 2025 trophy over Ulsan using only Anna.
  2. Ulsan had to beat Arslan Ash two times to get to the grand final.
  3. Tekken 8’s next big tournament is The Baaz Gauntlet 2, which is an invitational tournament.

Atif “Atif” Ijaz won CEO 2025’s Tekken 8 bracket over Lim “Ulsan” Soo-hoon. While Atif played his main, Anna, throughout the tournament, Ulsan showed his mastery of characters by using three of them: Reina, Dragunov and Lars.

Ulsan came from the winner’s side of the bracket in the top 8, and his first match was against Arslan “Arslan Ash” Siddique. He won the set 2-1 and proceeded to fight Atif in the winner’s final, where he lost 3-0. In the loser’s final, he had to face Arslan Ash once more, but this time in a best-of-five set. He once again beat Arslan Ash 3-0 using Reina.

He tried to bring his Reina momentum to the grand final but was quickly shut down by Atif’s Anna, who took two quick games off of him. This forced Ulsan to go back to his tried-and-tested Dragunov. He then took the next two games convincingly, which put them in game 5. The final game was a hard-fought battle from both sides, but ultimately, Atif’s Anna was able to take it over Ulsan, crowning Atif CEO 2025’s champion of the Tekken 8 bracket.

This event also served as a qualifier for the Esports World Cup 2025. Here are the three new players invited for the event:

  • Jeon “JeonDDing” Sang-hyun
  • Oh “Meo-IL” Dae-il
  • Benjamin “Yagami” Torngdee

Tekken 8’s next big tournament is The Baaz Gauntlet 2, which is an invitational tournament held in Pakistan. Only 16 people will participate in the tournament, with nine of them already locked in, including Arslan Ash, Atif and Adeel “The Jon” Sheikh.
