Activision officially announced Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, slated to release on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC. Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 will be available on Microsoft’s Game Pass during its initial day-one launch. The game is marketed to bring a cooperative campaign experience alongside the return of zombies. A full reveal of the game is scheduled for summer.
The teaser trailer shows no gameplay. Activision instead opted to showcase cinematics to introduce the game’s narrative, which follows David Mason as he and his team fight back against an enemy who weaponizes fear.
The upcoming title is being developed by Treyarch and Raven Software – the two development companies shared development for Black Ops Cold War as well. Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is a continuation of the story within the overarching storyline of Black Ops; it is a direct continuation of Black Ops 2 and 6, both of which were developed by Treyarch.
