- Invincible VS was announced at the Xbox Games Showcase 2025.
- The game will be a 3v3 tag fighting game, featuring the brutality of the comic book series.
- It is coming out in 2026 for PC, Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5.
A tag team fighting game based on the comic book Invincible, called Invincible VS, was announced at the Xbox Games Showcase 2025. The trailer revealed that it’s going to be a “brutal superhero 3v3 tag fighting game.”
Invincible has never shied away from bloody depictions of fights and sustained damage visuals on characters. The game’s trailer has shown that the developers of the game are following that philosophy, as the game’s brutality and violence are reminiscent of NetherRealm Studios’ Mortal Kombat.
Invincible VS will feature a story mode written by one of the writers from the animated series, as well as an arcade mode. Of course, the game will also feature casual and competitive multiplayer and a training mode to test combos and the game’s mechanics.
Characters that are confirmed to be in the game include Invincible, Omni-Man, Atom Eve, Bulletproof, Thula and Black Samson, although only Invincible, Atom Eve, Thula and Bulletproof are shown to be fighting.
The game is being developed by Quarter Up, the first in-house studio at Skybound, and is being led by the former core team of Killer Instinct 2013. Invincible VS is coming out in 2026 for PC, Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5.
